How do I begin? Our DJ search is NOT going well. We thought we had a great one, but then he double booked?! I didn't know they did that - does this happen often? Please send your DJ referrals to me!

We had an issue with a DJ (from a company often recommended on this board) cancelling our appointment, then booking with someone else before our rescheduled meeting, so we had to start at square one during our planning, and at first I was devastated, because many DJs I had considered were now booked.  We ended up going with David with Night Music, and he was awesome!  I would highly recommend Night Music as a whole.   They were professional, organized, and kept the party going.  Good luck in your search, it will all work out!

We used CoopDog Productions. They are located about 35 west of Columbus. It is run and owned by Donovan Cooper and his partner Jaime. They were awesome and reasonable. He actually went to hs with my H's older brother.

We used Jodie from Night Music. Absolutely loved her! For many reasons BCsGal said about her Night Music DJ, she was organized, professional (but still enthusiastic), and all of our guests loved her. Her and I sat down a couple weeks before with a playlist my husband and I made and she pretty much stuck to it during the night (I had many people stop while we were talking to them and say, "What an amazing song" or "I love this song"). She was also really flexible. Some of our "moment" songs we didn't decide on until the day of and we had some of my husband's family bring some Perisan music to play and gave the CD to her at cocktail hour (most of my family was born in Italy and most of his family was born in Iran, so we tried to incorporate both into the wedding). She got more people  on the dance floor than I would have ever imagined, and kept in communication with us during the night for timing, etc. Cannot say enough about her!

I did a lot of looking for the entertainment. We almost went with a band, but I really wanted a DJ. We looked a few of the people listed on this board and went to a bridal show or two. We ended up booking Buckeye Sounds and we really liked them.

We are hiring Columbus Pro DJs. I'm not sure which DJ we are going to request yet though. They have video clips on thier website so you can see who you want to request
