Rehearsal Dinner Help

So here is our dilemma. Our wedding is Sept 17th and we are trying to have our rehearsal dinner on the 16th. We would like Brazenhead and the Dublin location is able to accomodate us that night. We are coming up from FL with several out of town guests attending our 30 person dinner. We are getting married at the Venue at Smith Bros. and guests are staying at the Renaissance downtown. We have talked with the Renaissaince who could also accomodate our dinner and would be a lot more convienient but is also more expensive and less our style. Our third option is Calladagh downtown which is kind of an inbetween of the style and convenience. Anyone have exprience with rehearsal dinners/events at any they would like to share? TIA

I haven't had an event at any of these locations. So, I'm not much help there.  However, if you are concerned about transporting people to whatever location you choose, you could contact the Bexley Beat, they are probably the most reasonable shuttles you'll find, unless the hotel will offer you a great deal.

    Good luck!

Have you checked to see if the hotel your guests are staying at offers transportation? Sometimes they offer transportation and could take you and your guests to Brazenhead. If they aren't able to do this, I would say stick to somewhere near your hotel where your guests are staying at. Try to find somewhere that is convenient yet what you guys are looking for. I also think that it would be nice to stay close to the hotel that way if there's any drinking, no one really has to worry about it. We are also having out of town guests come to the rehearsal and are trying to stay close to the hotel that we have blocked rooms at that they will be staying at. Just more convenient. Good luck! :)

since you're downtown, you should check out deep wood. knotties on the columbus board have raved about it.

I've eaten at both the Brazenhead and Claddaugh although I've never been to events at either of them. I do feel that Claddaugh is much closer to the feel you were going for with Brazenhead compared to the Rennissance.
I'd personally stick close to the hotel and venue to accomodate guests if they aren't familiar with the area. If they're all local I don't think it is as big of a deal.
Maybe other knotties might have suggestions for restaurants closer to your venue that have the same vibe as Brazenhead.
