2 bridal shows this weekend!

There are two bridal shows this weekend, in DSM.  Anyone planning on attending either?  Do you know which would be a better one to attend??  I supposed I could do both, but think that might be over kill!  Ha!  One is at the Sheraton is WDSM and the other is at Hy-Vee Hall

I went to the one at HyVee this past September.  They had quite a few vendors.  I was planning on going to the one at the Sheraton this weekend.   I think I'll have a look at the vendors at HyVee to see if I should go back.

Oh and just FYI, for anyone who hasn't gone to one of these before....don't give out your cell number unless you really want to be contacted.  When I went to the one at HyVee, i had never been to one before and I was bombarded by phone calls for WEEKS!  hahaha  And I didn't even really fill out cards with many vendors...thank goodness!

I'm pretty sure the Hy-Vee Hall one is better. Heard from some friends that this was so. I'll be there!

I think the one at the Sheraton is going to be bigger than the one at Hyvee.  You can see the vendors at the one for Hyvee online.  Maybe check out who is going to be there and see if you are interested in checking those out?  If you don't see anything, then go to Sheraton

@mcsweets-I just looked there are over 100 vendors at Hy-Vee and 90 at the Sheraton.  The Hy-Vee on lists them, but I can't see where the Sheraton lists them.  Hmmmm....

I've been to both (I got married last May but can't seem to tear myself away from TheKnot!) and they Hy-Vee one was ok, just seemed to be a lot about Hy-Vee.  I personally liked the Sheraton one better, I basically booked all my vendors there.  I recommend going to both, it's free and it's a fun thing to do with girlfriends/family.

Thanks everyone...it looks like I have props for both!  Which means I might be doing both this weekend.  I will be living it up in the big city ha!

I went to both in September, and by far would say the one at the Sheraton was better.  More selection.  Agree with PP that the one at Hy Vee was a lot of Hy Vee stuff.  I would also say the one at Hy Vee seems to be more up and coming vendors vs the one at Sheraton which were vendors who have been in the area for years. Not that one is better than the other, just an observation my mom and I made when we went in September.  Both my photog and my video guy were at the one at Hy Vee, so they have some great vendors there.  Like other PP said... dont give your # to anyone.  I am still getting calls and they got my # in September. 
Oh, and go hungry.  You will taste more cake than you thought existed!

I went to both shows last year. I agree with PP that the one at the Shearton was much better. However I do think you should go to both.

The one at Hy-Vee does Cash prizes and you don't have to be present to win.

There are very different as far as vendors go.

I hope you ladies get some good ideas and share them! I would love to go back to iowa this weekend to see these shows but, i'll be in the city going dress shopping. Let me know what you guys find at the shearton.
