Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

How much effort did you put into your rehearsal dinner invites?  I am not an overly creative/scrapbooking type person, but I went to Hobby Lobby last night with the intent to make homemade RD invites.  After way too long trying to match up cardstock and stickers, and more money than I wanted to spend, I found a package of computer paper with a haystack/pumpkin graphic in a nice fall for $2.99.  Part of me thinks I should be doing a homemade invitation and the other part of me is thinking that $3 is pretty cheap and people are just going to throw them away anyways. Thoughts?

I would go with the cute paper for $3. I like to scrap and was going to make fancy invites, but happened upon some very nice invites at Tuesday Morning's really cheap. Bought them and had them done the same day. No cutting pasting etc. I like to keep stuff because I am a scrapper, but most people just toss it, you are correct.

I'm planning on going the DIY way...I have looked at different invites online and prices are ridiculous! So as I have been looking around and found some nice invites at Factory Card Outlet, also OrientalTrading.com, Hobby Lobby, Michael's. I can DIY for a fraction of the cost, and use the money saved for the reception! I agree, people just throw that stuff away, why spend the money?! Good luck with your choice.

For the Rehearsal Invites we did email invites, you spend so much money and time on other things that a quick email to people works great.

We just had Cari w/ www.aworkofheartbycari make an insert that matched the invites and added that to the invites of anyone who needed to attend...less expensive on this is better but it is your personal preference.
