Has anyone rented the STICKS Art Studio for their reception?  If so, can you give me a ball park of how much it costs?  And were you happy with it?  I love it, but I gotta feeling it's expensive!! Thanks!!

It looks beautiful!  If you go to www.cateringbyjohnmaher.com and click on Sticks, then it will bring up the rental information.  Here is part of it.  How many guests can Sticks hold?300 in the studio or 80 in the kitchen/cafeteria How much does it cost?$2,500 for the studio or $1000 for the kitchen/cafeteria In either case add the cost of a minimum of 2 Sticks representatives at the rate of $25 per hour each. What's included in the rental fee? Sticks' created tables and chairs to accommodate 83 guests Portable bar Votive candle holders (no candles) placed on window ledges to create mood 4 mobile four foot square glass top tables with Sticks' patina

They have to be one of the most expensive venues in town. Granted...it is very nice, but the rental fee doesn't really include much and they have a very small and restrictive catering list. John is VERY nice and is happy to show the place to anyone who is interested....

I was at a wedding there last fall. Overall, it's a really unique venue, and I love the lawns and huge bay of windows. It's really gorgeous when they light the candles along the windows, too. But the thing that bothered me about it is that (beyond the big windows) there's a certain industrial feel to the space. The half-finished pieces of Sticks art are haphazardly shoved aside and roped off, the dance floor is in the loading zone... It was a nice venue, really, but I'm not convinced it's worth the rental cost.
