One week to go- gratuity question

Hi, ladies- Looking for a Des Moines perspective- which vendors do you tip and which are covered by their fees? How much are you supposed to tip? Thanks!

    We only tipped the vendors who don't own the business themselves, and whose tips weren't included in the final bill.  The people who own their own businesses will get a nice note of thanks that they can add to their books, and will get positive vendor reviews from me whenever I get to doing them (eventually) which will hopefully get them more business and more cash than a tip from me alone would have been able to do.

    Someone once posted (I think Nataloo?) this: if the vendor provides you a product (example: cake) you don't tip. If the vendor provides you a service (example: dj) you do tip. But I think whether they own the business also plays into this as well.
