Tipping Vendors on the wedding day...

How much are you guys planning to tip your vendors? We have a DJ and assistant, a photo booth person and assistant, a photographer, a maitre d, the day of coordinator and limo driver.

The photographer, photo booth person and DJ are owners, and the limo includes gratuity in the price, so I presume no tips? But what do I tip the assistants?

The day of coordinator is included in our package and our contract recommends tipping the maitre d-how much is appropriate? Do I tip day of coordinator as well?

I will also tip flower delivery person and hair stylist. Just trying to cover all my bases!

  • I honestly don't know as my venue which is an all inclusive included the 15% gratuity off $10 thousand and I pay them and they pay out the vendors. I asked them about tip and they said it's included. Which is a major relief off of me.

The only one I do have to tip out of pocket is our personal waitstaff during the day. Venue said to put money aside for that person as they will be going above and beyond for us and only us. Venue said $50 is more then enough when I asked.
  • Honestly...tipping isn't in our budget...and we're only tipping if they go above and beyond service...They won't get it the day of the wedding...most likely afterwards if we decide to give...

This is sort of my issue as well...my centerpieces, cake and day of planner come with our package. I don't know if I am supposed to tip the planner. The only person the venue recommend tipping is the maitre d'.<div>
</div><div>I have searched this board about etiquette here, and it seems like if the person owns the business, you don't tip. My question is, what about the assistants? Each of my vendors owns their business AND has an assistant. Do I tip 15% of total cost for the vendor to the assistants?</div>
