Photographers near DSM

Anyone have any recomendations for a photographer?  We're paying for most of the wedding ourselves, so we're on a bit of a budget...

I just got my engagement pics with Moonwell photo www.moonsphoto.com

His packages start around $900 and that includes wedding and engagement pics.  He will take some off if you dont want engagement pics, but we really loved doing ours.  We weren't going to in the begining but very happy we did!  You can see some of our engagement pics in the post right below this one

I am using Allison Marie Photography but she has recently moved to Kansas, so I don't know if she's booking any weddings for 2012 anymore.
My other choices before I booked her included: Amanda Basten Photography, Nicole Thomas Photography and Kati McDonald. I believe I saw all these in those 'wedding ideas' books you see at HyVee and such.

We're using APL Photography and when we booked her, she was right around $100/hour.  I know she raised her prices, so you'd have to contact her to see where she's at.

I am also using jennifer waters!!!!!! she is awsome!!!!!!!

We're using Paula Feltner with This Day Photography in Union. ( www.thisdayphotography.com ) Union is by Marshalltown, so not exactly by DSM but they're definitely worth the drive. When we booked with them they had several different packages or you could build your own package to fit your budget. I know they were in the process of re-doing their packages so I don't know what their prices are like now, but they were really great working with our budget!

Amanda charges by the hour (very reasonable rates) so that should help with your budget.  She has been our family photographer for years now and we are absolutely 100% pleased with her work.  She is kind, talented and professional.  I'm looking forward toher finally being able to shoot our wedding in April.  She also has a Facebook page with her work.  Tell her Alie sent you.
