Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a makeup artist to do my make up for the wedding day. I'm getting my hair done at Bella Salon in Valley West Mall but not sure about their make up. Does anyone have any recommendations on makeup artists in the Des Moines area?

    I've been debating myself.  Honestly going to the MAC counter at Younkers may be your best bet (and it's right there near Bella Salon).  Not sure how comfortable you would be having it done w/out a trial, but I know a lot of people who have their makeup done there.

    i've had my makeup done there a few times and they always do a great job!  They will probably require you buy something, in lieu of paying for the makeup application, but that's still a good deal!!

    I agree with PP, getting it done right there at the mall might be a good bet for you.  Plus, you can buy anything you like for the day.

    I just had a make-up trial at Trixies Salon. It is on the South side right at Army Post and SE 14th. They did a wonderful job, and were very nice.
    I would recommend them!
