Bonfire?

We have found Seven Oaks in Boone to have our reception at.  The reason why we loved it was because we can have a bonfire there!!!  Does anyone else know of a place closer to Des Moines that we can have a reception at with a Bonfire???

We haven't decided NOT to do it at Seven Oaks, we are just worried people will think it is too far to travel from DSM ... ????

We were just at Seven Oak yesterday skiing!!  There are hotels in Boone for people to stay at instead of DSM...could you block rooms there instead?  I think that place would be a neat venue for a wedding reception!!

Yeah most of the "out of town" people are going to stay at a hotel.  Some of my FI family is complaining about the drive from dsm... I guess they have older cars and think its too far?  We didn't think it was really that far away ... I don't know what to do at this point

I think it's sweet of you to think of your FI's family and if they would be able to get to your venue or not, don't feel obligated though, if you want to have your wedding at seven oaks then do it. It's your wedding not theirs.

Thanks   I just love his family and don't want anyone inconvenienced.  We thought maybe we could arrange carpools or transportation?  Who knows!!! I really like Seven Oaks, though.  I also LOVE the church we found up there!!!

Then go with it!  It's only an hour so it's not that far from DSM.  Like jess said it's your wedding not theirs.  While you want to make then happy, it's not like that couldn't stay in Boone if they didn't want to drive and it's not like you have moved the location to MN!  Follow your heart!
