Congrats on finding your dress!!!! I've heard mixed reviews on Schaffer's too. You would think if they were pretty empty, they could've helped you out better.

I have heard that from many brides! My sister got married in October and purchased her dress from there. Since she bought her dress first, I knew right then and there that I didn't want to go to Schaffer's. I ended up buying my dress from The Wedding Shoppe in St Paul, MN......AMAZING store!! I recommend it to anyone out there who hasn't already gotten their dress. Bonus---no sales tax in MN

I got my dress from Schaffer's and was so impressed that I ended up getting the bridesmaids dresses and tuxes there. But that was just my experience.

I had an amazing time with shaffers! They were very helpful, at least my consultent Ali was!!! She worked very well at pulling dresses for me and giving me good advice and when I pulled one that was over my budget she asked if I was sure I wanted to try it on, since it was over my budget, she just didn't want me to fall in love with it if I didn't want to spend that much. I think everyone has different experiences everywhere though and maybe it can depend on the day and things too. I had an ok experinece with davids and a not great experience with the bridal boutique so it all must just depend.

It really does depend. I tried on dresses at both DB and Schaffers and had the opposite experience of you.  I was very disappointed with my appointment at DB.  My consultant was stretched between too many girls and I didn't feel like I really got the attention or help that I wanted.  At Schaffers, I had one girl working with me the whole time who really helped me pull dresses that she thought would flatter my figure and meet my style requests.  I've since had 2 fittings there and have nothing but great things to say.

I guess it just depends on when you go and who you work with.  Sorry your experience wasn't as enjoyable.  Congrats on finding your dress!  It looks gorgeous on you!

I also went to Schaffers and the consultant was horrible!! She acted like it was inconvenient that I was there!! She was slumped over on the counter when I walked in and when the receptionist girl said she was my consultant-she didn't even look up at me!!!!! She was evil the whole time!!! I will never go there for anything!!!
