Bridal shower?

Who typically throws the bridal shower and when is it usually held? Thanks for your help!

    Usually it is a member of the Bridal Party, or the MOB. I am having 2. One thrown by my MOH's and the other thrown by FMIL.

    Some are thrown by an aunt.

    They are usually held about 6 weeks out. But they can be done sooner.

    Yep...they are usually thrown by the bridal party and/or family. My MOH is throwing one and my future sil is also.  6-8 weeks is the usual, but a littler earlier doesn't hurt any.

    Agree with PP. And like she said I have heard of Aunt's doing the bridal shower as well. I had an aunt that did her bridal shower during the day and then the bachelorette party that night.
