Anyone know of a inexpensive place to get hair and makup done for my wedding. It would be for me and my maid of honor..

    Make up counters at places like Younkers, Ulta, Sephora are probably the cheapest. Usually people buy something, then it's free.

    Hair...that's a harder one. Updo's are expensive! But how about La' James school? They could do hair and makeup.

    are the beauty schools open on the weekends? most weddings are weekend events? Just curious as to their hours of operation.

    Yeah, they are open on the weekend. If you decide to go this route, have a trial done before that. Then you can see if you like it and it won't take as much time on your day to get it all done. And you can make an appointment with the same person for that day too.

    In Ames, there's Salon Professional Academy open on the weekend too, like La James, where you can get hair and make up done as well. We're thinking about going there
