Des Moines area DJs

We are looking for a fun, nice, affordable DJ for our August 6, 2011 wedding in Des Moines.  Any suggestions?  We have looked at Complete Music and Absolute Music (both from our wedding planner) any other suggestions?  Thanks

We used Puttin on the Hitz.  Very reasonable pricing and we were very happy with our DJ.

I booked musical edge DJ... I don't know what you consider reasonable, i guess that is all relative but I thought they were giving me a pretty decent price... oh and they have uplighting

I'm using Ultimate Entertainment.  My fiance really wanted to use them because of their online planning tool where you can request songs and plan out special dances, etc.  He really wants a lot of control over the music because he's so picky...Their pricing was pretty reasonable, we're getting five hours of music for under 600 dollars, which seemed pretty comparable to everyone else in the area.  Good Luck!

We did Complete Music.  They were very professional, reasonably priced, and helped give us suggestions for song choices!  They also played a really great variety of music, and kept everyone on the dance floor all night!

we are using wedding day entertainment, they have an unlimited hours package for $850 so we will be using them from 4- midnight... We are Catholic and our wedding has to be at 2pm (at least at our church) so we needed someone for the cocktail hour before dinner. And it gave us a discount for our photographer....it knocked about a grand off the price for him.
