HELP! Bridal shower locations around DSM?

Hey!  I am needing some ideas for our shower!  We didn't realize everything would be booked 3 mos in advance, but I guess it makes sense!  My BMs and MOH have been trying to find a place and finally broke down and asked me for ideas.  So, I'm asking you! 

It can be in any surrounding suburbs as well!

    How large is the anticipated guest list?  Are you having a couple's shower or just a shower for you?

    Probably 35 people or so ... we are going to do a couples shower

    What about a community Center? The one in Windsor Heights is super nice!! I can't remember the price, but super nice!

    I had this problem too, My aunt was nice enough to agree to have the shower at her place. Maybe you can have an aunt/grandma/cousin host at their house?

    Okay, so Grace Church is where mine is, they have a lot of class rooms that can be used. I'm not sure how to rent it, but I've been to 3 showers there and it's super nice.

    Church is an awesome idea!  I could also ask my dad's girlfriend to use her house...

    There are a few shelters in Pleasant Hill which are about $30 to rent.  The one in Doanes Park is a little more sheltered.  There are also some shelters in Altoona, one indoor and several outdoors. I know that Raccoon River Brewery downtown has rooms available for parties of 20 or more, but I do not know the cost.  

    Another thought, Peace Tree Brewery is in Knoxville, they're awesome down there...you might be able to call and chat and see if you could host something there!

    West End Architectural Salvage in down town DM can be rented out for events. It's a pretty cool place.
