Invitation etiquette.....

I get along with everyone at work but one person.  In my office there about 21 people I work with, including other nurses, doctors, my manager and office staff.  I get along with everyone but one nurse.  She starts a lot of un-necessary drama and is very selfish and immature.  I talk to her when I have to but otherwise ignore her as much as I can.

Well people of course ask me about my wedding and I talk about it to them.  I don't say anything to her but she might occassionally be around when I talk with others about it.  I do not want to invite her but everyone else will be invited.  However, I know that if I do exclude her from my guest list she will then just be really annoying.  She'll talk about me even more and be nasty if I ever need anything from her.

I totally understand!! In this case, it might be better to invite everyone in your office. Heck, if you two really don't get along, maybe she won't want to come anyway!

Agreed.  I would just invite her, you will be so busy that you wont even pay attention to her.  Plus, she may start being "nicer" to you JUST BECAUSE you invited her lol

If you're inviting the other 20 people in the office, unfortunately, you're stuck.  If you were just inviting a few of your coworkers you would be fine, but if you invite everyone except one...I don't see that ending well.  Sorry

Though, you'll probably have enough people here that you probably won't have to have much interaction with her...

This, I have a lady at my work I dislike and I invited her and so far she's been super nice at work after she got the invite! We'll see!

That's a good point too! Hopefully that would make her be nicer to her. She thinks you like her!

I know the right thing to do is to invite her (and hope she won't show) but part of me doesn't even care anymore that her attitude towards me would be worse.  I try to be the bigger person by being nice but then sometimes being the bigger person is just ignorning her.

Her new thing is telling people that I'm trying to push her out of her job.  That I'm taking over and trying to get her fired.  I'm going to be doing her job and mine while she is on maternity leave in a month.  But trust me I'd rather just do mine alone.  I hate her job.
