I am going back to planning my wedding in Carroll, IA and would like to know if there is anyone here from that area. I had a great help before from Saraan, but maybe she is not around here anymore. If someone could help me giving ideas where to hold the ceremony I'd appreciate. I was thinking about a barn or a historic building. Or even a beautiful shellter around the lake. I already have the reception venue set up. We will have between 50 and 60 guests.Thanks for the help!

    Hello Sara, I was wandering if you could give me a suggestion involve the venue that I will be suing for the ceremony. As you know it will be Santa Maria Winery, and I will be renting 1 of their rooms because its capacity is 150 pp and I will have only between 50-60 max. I wanted to rent one and split them between dinner room and ceremony place. During the cocktail hour, the wedding planner would set a lounge and a place to dance instead the ceremony place, gotta it?
    Anyways, do you think it would work? The cocktail will bein the courtyad of the winery.

    The courtyyard is gorgeous at the winery.  It will be great for the cocktail hour!  Did you find someone to be your wedding planner?  I think that will work well.  Do you know what side you are renting, the side with the bridal balcony or the other side where their actual dance floor is located?  I think spliting the side into differnt areas will work.  I am actually going to eat there on Saturday night.  I will see if I can peek into the rooms to make sure it looks like there will be enough room, but I am pretty sure that your idea will work.  Please let me know what else you need!  Good luck!

    I have two names and I will be contacting them this  week. Which side looks better for you. I don't care about the balcony but I really want the dance floor, so I think I will stay with this side. Let me know what do you think about the food.
    I am still browsing for cake and florist.
    Where your FI will be renting his tux from?
    I may have to go to Carroll in April to see some of the things in person, especially the decor and the flowers.
    Do you have a suggestion where I could hold a rehearsal/welcome party for 25 ppl?
