Tacky or cute..?

We're trying to think of a unique way to do escort cards.. and since our wedding theme is roses and pearls, I thought it would be cool to write names & table numbers in silver ink on silk rose petals and have those be the escort cards. Too hard to read and confusing, or no?

Hmm...that sounds difficult and might not have quite the effect that you are looking for.  It might be hard to read and hard to find when guests are looking for their names.  And as PP said, how would you display them?  It might work...

I would suggest trying a couple and seeing what it looks like.

I don't think it's tacky, I just wonder like PP how it would look laid out. I would just be afraid that it would lack the impact you'd want it to have. I would think maybe it would be cooler to write the names on the petals, but instead of having it be escort cards, have it be a seating chart type thing where you can string the petals together and create a really beautiful cascade of petals.
