Winter wedding ideas

Trying to plan a winter wedding in three months. The colors are a marine blue and yellow. How can I make that seem wintery? What are some food and decoration ideas to not make it summery but incorporate the colors. I want a formal winter wedding but can't figure out where to start after the colors are chosen.

Re: Winter wedding ideas

  • Maybe a more mustard yellow or golden color would help. Yellow is pretty bright and summery, but if you use it in small accents and in warmer hues, I'm sure it will look great!
  • Whats Marine blue?  My colors are Aqua and Silver...I was originally doing a beach theme but changed it since its now in Jan. instead of June...I was going to do Aqua and Beige (like water and sand)...but anyways, back to your question LOL- I would def opt for more of a gold...that would make it wintry...like a shiny gold maybe...shimmery colors...

</div><div>I am thinking about that but he has little bits of a soft yellow in mind. I am not sure how that will look. Plus the yellow is one of his countries colors and we are trying to combine our countries together by colors of blue and yellow. I like the idea of gold though...

<div>Marine blue is hmm how to descibe it its lighter then navy blue but darker than a tiffany blue</div>
  • If you add elements of gold it would give it less of a summery feel...gold elements in the flowers, jewelry, centerpiece, and/or favors perhaps??
