Aisle Runner

I am wondering if I should get one or not...my aisle is 75 ft long...has a beige carpet...

HMMM...??

Just trying to cut costs.  They are pretty, but thinking I may just do silk petals instead..

Also, when do the runners go out?  Before the Bridal party or before me?

Re: Aisle Runner

  • We can't do one in our church because of the fact that we have tile that is slanted so anything on top of it would cause some major issues, so I just did without. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of them anyway. But as far as when, I would just have it out before people even got to the ceremony, but I've seen it done where it didn't go out until before the bride...So I guess it would be up to you and your FI.
  • I'm gunna do a simple disposable runner. My mom said she saw some at Walmart for about 20. Not sure of length though. As to whether it goes out before the bridal party or just you.. both are acceptable! Totally up to you. I'm going to have mine go out with the prelude just because I'm coming out on a specific cue in the music and I don't want to miss it just because the runner isnt all the way out yet.
  • Heroes- thanks..I will have to discuss with FI.

Gabbagirl- I saw them online (Wlamart) but I read reviews that they were chinsy and ripped easily or caused slipping.  Idk..
I love that you're coming out on cue in the music.  I wanted that too but the organist said that he can only sing the chorus of my song for time sake and not the whole thing.
He's right though, the song is about 4 minutes or so long and it will only prob take me like 40 seconds to walk down the asile...lol..
He is also learning the song just for me!!  : )
Thanks for your ideas, Ladies.  I will see..

  • Just skip it...it's an easy budget item to cut, and no one will ever notice!
