Gifts for the Bridal party?

Ok...give me some ideas...what are you all doing for this?

Re: Gifts for the Bridal party?

  • I'm giving all of our girls the following:  earrings and a necklace, ballet slippers, a light blue pashmina with their first initial embrodered (but very small), and a small makeup case.

My best advice would be to shop for them as if it is their birthday! Anything that you get them to wear for the wedding, doesn't count as a gift and it's much more meaningful to get them individual gifts than the same thing for everyone.

I got all of my girls a Lands End Tote with a zipper top in each of their favorite colors. Then I got 1 a new suitcase, 1 the new polaroid camera she's been in love with but won't buy, 1 a Michael Kor's clutch, 1 two sets of cute Kate Spade earrings and the last one a pair of basketball shorts from our college and some Baltimore Ravens office stuff for her new office.

Total I spent about $100 on each girl, $25 for the tote, then $75 on the individual gifts.

Oh and for my flower girls, I got them their own mini tote in pink and the bride Barbie (1 with blonde hair and 1 with brown to match the girls).

...we're still working on what to get the guys. Lol

My girls are getting bejewled flip flop, a small make-up bag with a few essentials, gold pashminas, tumblers with their initials on them, and a cuff bracelet with their names on them. Sadly I was horribly uncreative with the girls things.

The boys are getting cufflinks that match their geeky personalities and pocket watches. FI loves pocket watches. We also paid $40 towards each guys tux to help bring the price down to what we asked the girls to pay for their dresses.
  • My sister (Maid of Honor/only bridesmaid) and officiant (best friend) are getting stuff from The Body Shop - I know it sounds uncreative, but they both love it and won't buy it for themselves!

FI is not getting anything for his brother (Best Man/only groomsman). He said, "Well, he didn't get anything for me, so why should I get anything for him?" I can't help but agree.

  • We have 8 attendants each and we're kind of on a budget for this whole wedding, but.... Bridesmaids get black shoes of their choosing from jcp, pearl bracelets, and mug with their first and middle name on it. My MOH gets a C necklace from Tiffanys..her name is chelsey. Groomsmen will have monogram pilsner glasses I think. My flower girl will have jewelery for her and her American girl doll and a headband.. undecided on ring bearer, ushers, PAs and parents
  • I went all out with this:

First I bought white silk bathrobes (buy one get one!) and dyed them each royal blue.
Then I got cubic zirconia pear shaped earrings (gotta love grouon deal!) for eacy girl.
Then I ordered personalized totes in each lady's favorite colors with their names and initials: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/94981469?utm_source=transaction&utm_medium=trans_email&utm_campaign=purchase_buyer
And finally I got wooden hangers and bent their names in wire to go across the middle.
Technically only the bag and earrings count as a gift, since I will want them to use the robes and hangers for pictures, but they still get to keep everything. I am going to have eveything in each of their bags when they arrive day-of, so it should be a nice moment.

  • Coach wristlets with a note inside about how much they mean to me and some photos from our friendship.  Need to get on writing notes and finding photos - my computer got stolen over the summer which had the majority of my photos... :(
  • Sounds nice, Ladies!!

Derks- I am so sorry about your computer..ugh!!  NOT cool..
I hope you can find some good pics still though.

When should I give them their gifts?  Rehearsal dinner?  There will be tons of people there though.

I have 6 girls and 6 guys in our BP...and we are on a super budget...def writing them each a nice note..thanking them, etc...but I want to get them something special.

They are both getting a pair of Toms and a Coach wristlet... and probably an initial bracelet if I can find one I like. Or maybe earrings.
I'm going to take them out to lunch and to get pampered a little bit the week before, the wedding  and give their gifts at lunch. A little girls day out :)

I'm def. most excited about the Toms. Both of my girls wear them regularly so I know they will like them.. and it will make some cute pictures I think. Plus, they can keep them handy for the reception in case their feet get achy.

I'm wearing these.. I'll probably just do gray for the BMs so that they are versitale for every day wear.

  • I gave my MOH a pair of Tom ballerine flats and a Toms t-shirt, she loves TOMs but due to their cost doesn't buy them for herself, so I thought she'd appreciate that :)

Shes' my only girl, sorry I can't help more - I had a terrible time coming up with ideas too
