Seating chart

Our wedding is in a historic building. I would like the seating chart to reflect that. We are only putting people at tables not individual seats. I've seen two ideas I really like: using an old wooden window or door and writing on the glass, or a chalkboard/chalkboard paint on a door/in a large frame. I would like to do something more interesting than writing the info on a piece of foam board. I don't want to get into a bunch of money for something that won't be used again. In case I can't find a door or window, any ideas???

Re: Seating chart

  • Maybe just a regular chalkboard. Or you could get a big frame, take the glass out and paint the cardboard piece with chalkboard paint and use that. Then you can just throw a picture in it after the wedding and decorate with it.

  • I saw a cool idea somewhere that I totally want to try...a large mirror with the names written in a colored sharpie : )

My cousin had the window thing at her wedding- it was really rustic and it worked.
