Ooh, fun! The food was a huge hit at my wedding. Dinner was catered by Brasa and we had cupcakes from Cupcake.

    Dinner Buffet Menu

    -Entrees-
    Rotisserie Chicken
    Pulled Pork
    Braised Beef
(with a separate plated option for vegetarians - Curried Vegetables and Rice)

    -Optional sauces-
    Cilantro lime
    Barbeque

    -Sides-
    Cabbage Salad
    Cheese Grits
    Pan Roasted Potatoes
    Collard Greens with smoked turkey

    and our cupcake selection:

    Red Velvet
    Double Chocolate w/ raspberry filling
Traditional Vanilla w/ simple sugar frosting
    Carrot Cake

For drinks, we had a huge variety of pop and beer... with Gallo Family Sonoma Reserve (the good Gallo... not the cheap) in Cabernet and Chardonnay.

Do it! You won't regret it! Seriously, EVERYONE loved EVERYTHING at our reception. I was afraid some of the Southern-style food (cheese grits, collard greens) would frighten some of the pickier Midwesterners.... but almost everyone had a little bit of everything on their plate and then raved about how wonderful it was.

I finally got over to Brasa on Grand a few weeks ago and really liked the sandwich I got.

We haven't gone in for our tasting yet, but these are my top menu choices for right now:

    Entrees:
Beef Burgandy but with onions instead of mushrooms
Chicken stuffed with homemade pesto, prosciutto, sundried tomatoes & parmesan with wine sauce
Pork Loin Normandy with brandy-apple demi-glace (maybe)

    Sides:
Mandarin salad or Parisian salad, although all their choices look great and I'd be happy with any of them
    Au Gratin potatoes
green beans almondine (though I prefer mine sauteed with lemon juice and butter)
    dinner rolls/butter

    Cake:
top tier - white cake with lemon and key lime curd studded with raspberries
2nd tier - carrot cake with cream cheese filling
3rd tier - german chocolate cake with german chocolate filling and Bailey's mousse
bottom tier - coconut cake with dark chocolate ganache and mousse
    candy buffet

    Drinks:
Damn near a full bar, so lots of crazy martinis, because that's my thing.  Definitely lemon drops and flirtinis and plenty of good scotch.  I like scotch. Smile
    cheap light beer
    good beer
variety of red and white wines, depending on what's on sale and what I like that I can find in the shops.  I'd love to get a couple cases of V. Sattui 2004 Johannesburg off-dry reisling.  Best wine I ever tasted.  I should see if they have any sellers in the MSP.  I'm not too concerned with brand consistency otherwise.
