Videographer

Does anyone have any reviews on a GOOD videographer who is not incredibly expensive?

Also, married ladies: was having a videographer something you really were glad you had/missed out on (if you didnt have on)?  I can't decide on this.

I can't give you much in the way of reviews, but I can tell you that I was on a very limited budget for videography but I still wanted it.  Video is important to me because I feel like the photography is fine art, someting to hang aorund our home.  But photography cannot convey to my children and grandchildren what our wedding was really like, what it was like to really be there on the day that we got married.  For that, I feel we need video.

The most budget friendly, cinematic style videographers that I could find were:

    Ready Motion Video:  http://www.readymotionvideo.com/
    and

I have booked Memories in Motion for my wedding.  Jason has been very responsive to every email I have sent him, his prices are great, and I love his videos.  His email is memoriesinmotionja@yahoo.com if you would like to find out his pricing, etc.

I would recommend Jason Lorge with Capture the Moments. He was absolutely excellent and I am so happy we booked him! He is also quite budget friendly. I was so glad we decided to book a videographer because having the video adds an extra memory and includes moments that I either didn't get to see or loved seeing again in motion.

i haven't considered videography because I figure it will probably put us over budget...what is an average rate?

My cousin used Elegant Motion Studios and they just posted her "trailer" today.  It is super cute and it's fun to see people laughing and being themselves in a way you can't see in photos.  I'm still torn as well though.

I'd recommend True 2 Life. Their middle of the road package that I would've gone with was $600 and was just for ceremony & reception coverage.

When I changed my date, Michelle wasn't able to work my new date- she very graciously refunded my deposit. I'm sorry she's not able to work my wedding, but she's super professional and I don't think you'd go wrong if you chose True 2 Life.

I had a videographer and I don't regret it for a second.  Photos are fantastic but there is so much that happens that cant be captured in a picture.  You'll never remember what the music sounded like, the message the officiant gave you, catch the hitch in your husband's voice when he recites his vows because he's on the verge of happy tears and so on.  I watch it maybe once a year but I'm so grateful to have that record of the day.

I wish I would've had a videographer (or at least a friend with a video camera) record the ceremony. I thought our DJ was setting up his personal camera as practice and we'd have that, and I didn't find out until the night before or the day of that he wasn't. Communication fail on my part. I would record at least the ceremony.

I am going with Blue Eye Studios and Paul has been so easy to work with! They are meeting with the FI and I at least 3 times prior to the wedding to get a real idea of who we are and exactly what we want. He even spoke with me on the phone for almost an hour prior to us booking him, to make sure he had a solid idea of what we are looking for from a videographer. And he's one of few that I've seen who includes sound clips along with the music and it actually sounds good and not scratchy. (I think their pricing starts at $1500 for full day, 2 videographers)

Jason with Capture the Moments does fantastic work and he is very reasonably priced.  He has various different options for what you want.

He also has many clips from previous weddings that you can watch.
