Photo booth cost, recommendations

A friend is looking for a photo booth for her daughter's high school graduation. She was quoted $800 by a vendor, not sure who it was or if this is a typical price. Can any of you share the price for your photo booth, you vendor, and any recommendations for photo booths? TIA!!

Re: Photo booth cost, recommendations

  • I think that's a great price!  We booked The Traveling Photo Booth and they're around $1100 for 4 hours, props, and a photo guestbook.  We seen them at other weddings and love their style!

  • Check out The Photoboxx! We are using them for $500. Their prices on their site are double what we are paying  but I know they have deals for hald off pretty frequently. We went and checked out their photobooth and loved the booth and the couple that will be attending the booth. They also can customize the strips to look like how you want them to! :)

  • Look at Shindig Photo Booths and VP Photo Booths. Shindig is $550 and VP has a special running right now on Craigslist for $300 off. I'm probably going to go with VP, as Shindig was booked.

Also, I think $800 is a LOT to pay for a photo booth. If you're going to spend that much, make sure the company has been around for awhile and has a good reputation.
  • Check out snappypix photo booths. They are very reasonably priced!
  • I guess it depends on how long you want the photo booth for!?  We used The Photoboxx for our wedding.  I think we were only the 3rd or 4th event that they had done (since starting their business) and we absolutely LOVED everything about them!  Awesome looking booth, great price, and very friendly couple to work with.  I just referred a friend to them and she said they're running a New Year special $600 for 3 hour service and $850 for 4 hours.  That included the scrapbook and props, too.  I also think you shouldn't just look at price - try out the booth before you rent to see the quality of the pictures and if they're someone you'd want to work with.  HTH!Smile
  • Check out Mobile Photo Booth. They started in 2005 and are very fair in price. They are doing our wedding with a lot of personalizations for under $800. They did my fiances holiday party for something like $600. Just like your photographer or anything else, you want to use somebody who has a good reputation and has been around. They saved our friends who lost their booth scrapbook because they had everything backed up and they used them in 2007.
