Walker Art Center for reception?

Hi All,

Has anyone been to a wedding at the Walker, or is anyone planning to hold their event there? We're trying to get a sense of the flow between the event spaces.

We're having our ceremony at the Cowles Conservatory, but aren't using the Walker space for anything else, besides pictures in the sculpture garden.  I did look into it, though, and the reception space inside the museum looks like a pretty blank slate with a really modern feel.  I think it was out of our price range, though, since the catering cost is pretty high.

We had looked into using the Starlight Room at the Walker (the really cool one that hangs over the road), but we were turned off by the event minimum ($10,000) and the fact that the space said it could hold 200 but wouldn't have comfortable held more than 150-ish. We did take photos at the Sculpture Garden, which I loved. Sorry that's all the info that I have! We did stop by and somebody took us on a tour when we were considering it, which was helpful.
