Neon Express ladies-tipping?

For those of you who used Neon Express-did you tip and how much?  Is Dave the only owner, or are both Mark and Dave Co-owners?

Thanks so much!

We didn't tip.  Dave (the only owner) did our wedding.  He and his wife (he just brought his wife along, no asking beforehand) got to eat for free, so I figure that's good enough.  It wasn't like I was bowled over by his work or anything.

We only paid him $200, because we didn't do a full dance. He was great to work with and ended up doing about 30 minutes of dance music per family requests, so we tipped him $50.

We don't plan to tip since Dave will do ours and he is the owner.

I can't believe that he brought his wife. What did she do all night?

She sat with him AT MY BROTHERS' TABLE and then up on stage with him while he DJed.  You'd think it'd be pretty obvious etiquette that vendors don't sit with anyone wearing a boutonier, especially if there are plenty of other open spots at other tables, but I guess this was lost on him/them.  So now our DJ and his wife are in the background of the picture our photog took of my brother giving his toast.  That's just lovely.

Oh, and BTW, make sure he has no excuse for getting people's names wrong if you're doing a grand entrance.  He f'ed up a bridesmaid's name (it's Alyssa, not Allison) and a groomsman's name even though he was told several times exactly how to pronounce it 30 seconds prior, and it's not like it was an uncommon name.

    Color me unimpressed.

typically if you are dealing with the owner of a business, you don't need to tip, because they are getting all of the money you are paying.
