Hotel for Boudoir???

I am having my boudoir session on Monday August 3rd. I had originally reserved a suite at the Chambers hotel for a "meeting" (they allow you 4 hours). I was quoted $138. I figured that this price was doable, since the suites there are amazing, and offer different options for my photo session. WELL I received a call last night from a manager at The Chambers letting me know that they appologized for the inconvenience but that they had quoted me wrong! It was supposed to be $238+ tax. I'm not willing to pay that especially since I won't even be staying in the room. I spoke with my photographer and my only other option was to have my session in her store front studio...which means no bedroom scene. Do any of you know of any hotels that I could have my boudoir session at? She had mentioned that hotel rooms with natural light work best. I have already called the w and graves, and they both offered ridiculous prices. My photographer told me that they think that these hotels are catching on to the boudoir sessions that are going on, and girls calling to set up "meetings" so they are raising the price. I do not have any friends who would have bedrooms that would work for my boudoir session, my house is out of the questions because my fiance (who works night shift) will be home sleeping. If you have any suggestions send them my way!!! Thanks! :)

You could see if there are any other knotties that would be willing to split the cost with you? You probably wouldn't need more than an hour or 2. You could have your hair and makeup done off-site too...

Maybe check out the aloft hotel on Washington Ave. in downtown Minneapolis. It's new within the last year and they have a very contemporary feel as well, and may not be as much as the other downtown hotels. Good luck!

Could you bring a blow up mattress to your photographers studio? That's what we did for ours and you can't even tell. If you look at boudoir blogs you rarely see the floor anyways. I love how my pics turned out, I actually preferred that than a hotel because we got to use different props and different background colors and stuff.P.S. I can show you my pics if you want to see how it looks.

I haven't looked into this at all, but maybe you could ask them about renting it for a few hours at an odd time, like 1:00 PM.  Most guests have checked out already and the new guests haven't checked in yet.  Maybe they would give you a price break for something like that.  IDK, maybe they don't do that though.

My b-pics were done at the Hotel Minneapolis.  I'm not sure what their prices are, but I think it's cheaper than Chambers.

To second PP, I have mine scheduled for this Friday at Hotel Minneapolis.  I haven't been there before so I can't vouch for what it looks like, but the online pics look nice.  I booked it probably a month ago and I was able to get the best deal on their own website.  I think the price for a King bed "larger room" came out to $105 including all taxes.  It isn't a suite, but those were available for another $20 or $30 I think.  Also, I am keeping the room for the night, so I am suprising FI with a night out as well.  Two for one.  :)  Check out hotels' website for the "promotions" section.  That is where I found this deal, and I also saw it on others' site, but this was the best deal I found for the nicer hotels.

Girls thank you so much!!! I am in the process of checking out those other hotels and I am about to write a post on here to see if anyone wants to split the cost of the room. Just not sure if that is possible since my session is coming up so soon. You girls are always SO helpful!!! Veijes the whole blow up mattress thing didnt even cross my mind! What a great idea! Is there anyway that I can see your pictures. That could save me a lot of $$! THANKS
