Did your FI go with to look at flowers?

FI says he wouldn't have any input since he doesn't know much about flowers, so I was just curious as to whose FI went along.  We're in the process of checking out two florists in the next week, so it'd be nice if he came.

Mine did not-he really didn't have any opinion at all on our flowers so I went to the initial meetings and then just had him look over the descriptions/quotes before booking one.

Mine came and was kind of more concerned that I was...He doesn't know much about flowers either but I think he suprised both of us with how much input he had cause it is all about colors and style and has a major impact on how everything will look. So your fiance may suprise himself too.

My FI did not go when I went to meet florists. I took my Mom instead.  :)

Oh god no.  He would have been fine with no flowers at all (in his words: "flowers are STUPID!"), so yeah... it was all me in that department :)

He did, but mostly because I was feeling stressed out at that point in the planning and he just wanted to be there for me. He did have an opinion on bouts, and he was even voiced an opinion or two on the bouquets. I think.

FI came both times we've met with our florist.  He was helpful in remembering what flowers I liked and reminding me of comments I had made about flowers in the past.  No real original thoughts on his side.I am actually glad he came!  He kept saying "don't forget the carnations, she likes carnations a lot".

He went with me and actually had a good time.  Although he didn't really care what kind of flowers and was quiet, he did say things like "that looks nice", etc.

Mike went on almost every appointment with me with the exception of florists.  A) I kind of knew what I wanted and didn't want to derail my vision (!!), and B) I knew it was my splurge and didn't want him freaking out about the budget!

No - he couldn't care less and said they were a waste of money.  Ha.  I think he is joking though.

I went to one meeting with my MOH/sister but then when I started talking about flowers with my FI about color choices and the flowers we would be using he was hurt that I didn't include him on it so for the rest of the florist meetings, he will be coming with and I really like his opinion, he's not the normal guy! :)

No, he could care less about the flowers. And it made it easier to schedule the appointment when I didn't have to worry about both of our schedules.

He's already made it clear what he wants input on and what he doesn't.  He went with me to interview photographers, the reception site, the ceremony site, the cake tastings and the DJ.  He doesn't care about the flowers though, or where we get the decorations from.

FI came with, but he didn't have much input.  I pretty much knew what I wanted, and he went along with whatever I told the florist.

I did all the research and he came to all appointments. He was there to check out the flowers. That was something he was actually really interested in so I let him make most of the decisions on flowers.

FI didn't but that kind of comes with the territory of a long distance relationship (he's in Ohio finishing his Masters now). Had he been around, he probably would have come, but probably wouldn't know what to do with himself there, lol.

Wow, sounds like a lot of you had your FI come and a lot didn't.  I'll have to ask him what he wants to do when he gets home.  Thanks for sharing!

He came along and actually had some really great ideas when it came to flowers. He might surprise you! :)

Nope, I am the gardening expert in the relationship so he left it completely up to me. And he trusted me not to order any "girly-man" looking boutinnieres for the guys.
