I see in the post below you said you negotiated your band.  We're in the middle of figuring out which band we're going to go with, but I was hoping to be able to negotiate somewhat.  We're looking at Pop Luxe and Modd Squad.I am suprised how much they were willing to negotiate with you though, because I got a quote on Metro Jam and the cheapest they told me was $3000 for 5 members, and up from there.  And this is for a January wedding, so not peak season.Did you low ball them and they counteroffered?  Or did you just throw it out there and they accepted?  Just curious because I don't want to offend anybody.  Do you have any tips?  Thanks!

    We offered $2500 and they came back at $2750 and we took it, since we were planning on $3000 to begin with. We also went with the 5 member band. During negotiations, they offered to add an extra piece, but we decided 5 would be plenty (since we're having only 100 guests) so we decided to take the discount. I was worried about offending them, too, but Mike Macken assured me that this is just how the business goes. Good luck with the negotiations!
