Wedding gift for my mom?

Happy Thursday! My mom and I are both planning our weddings :) this is her second marriage, and she is having a small family only event next Saturday at Northcoast in Wayzata. Any ideas on a gift for her? I was thinking of getting them a night at a nice hotel nearby for their wedding night, because they're currently planning on just going home after (where my two younger sisters live). Does anyone know of any nice & romantic hotels in the west metro, or on Lake Minnetonka? Thanks!!

That's funny, my mom is getting married this Saturday and I have two younger sisters that still live at home with her haha. For her wedding gift I an doing her centerpieces (just using vases that will be at our wedding and getting flowers at Sam's club) and her candy buffet which we will be using those containers at ours too and we are getting them a GPS. The hotel idea sounds great!! As for hotels around Lake Minnetonka, there aren't much, there are hotel rooms at the Lafayette club but they are probably pretty expensive and they are older. I think you might have better luck with some hotels closer to downtown, like the W or something otherwise my FI surprised me with a suite one year at The waterpark of America hotel in Bloomington near the airport and that was such a nice room! We live like 5 minutes away from Wayzata and there isn't much out here that I know of, sorry!

There is a Shereton at Ridgedale. I've stayed there a few times and it was pretty nice then - when I called there to get a block of rooms for our wedding they said they had renovated it this past winter. We are planning on having dinner at Northcoast on Saturday to check it out as a possible grooms dinner location.  I'd love to know how it was for your mother's event.

I forgot about that Sheraton! I've been there as well, not since the renovation but it is pretty nice and affordable as well! It's only about 5-7 minutes from Wayzata and right behind the Ridgedale Mall so it's pretty easy to find!

While it's not super close, Nicollet Island Inn would be a nice place to consider - I don't think it's too much of a drive from the Minnetonka area.
