Which county should the marriage license be from. The one you live in or the one you get married in? TIA!

    If you're getting married in MN, it can be any county in the state. We lived in Hennepin County and got married in Dakota; it happened to be easiest for the church with our pre-marital counseling credit to process the license in Dakota Cty, so that's where we got ours.

    I live in Anoka County, FI lives in Hennepin County... We are getting married in Hennepin, so we got it there..an upside to hennepin county is that you don't have to wait for the license to come in the mail, you walk out with it in your hand!!!
