Marriott City Center + Richfield Flowers/Events

Anyone using either?Need some pointers...

We are using both actually. Ceremony and Reception at Marriott City Center. Alter area being done by Richfield Flowers. What pointers did you need?

Great. I'm wondering about ceremony decor too, and if they are reasonably priced. I love the Marriott, but the colors on the 6th floor are clashing with mine a bit. Whats your color scheme and how are you fitting in in?

We are doing Purple. When we origianlly signed up we didn't know what the colors were going to be on the 6th floor. Also, we thought there was going to be a ballroom built up there. Now there isn't so we had to adjust some things. Our girls will be wearing black and then accents of purple. What are your colors? For flowers we are doing submerged orchids on half the tables and candles on the other half. Pictures are in my bio. We are having our ceremony in the St. Croix Room which is the long room with the slanted windows. We are having the reception in the Minnesota room which is the one with the windows and pillars. Then the dance will be in the St. Croix 2 room which is the one with the cool lighting on the ceiling. What are your plans for everything? How many people are you having? I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask questions. You are the only other person I have heard on here having a reception there so I am curious how you are doing it. We just had our tasting and the food was amazing. I think our wedding is a week before yours.

Oh and our ceremony isn't final yet. Eric is working with Richfield on that. I think that we will be having a white backdrop with some mirrored hanging things and purple uplighting. Also, down the aisle I will have cylinder vases with purple candles in them. I think about 8 of them total.

I just had to post b/c I am my wedding there a little over a year ago - I had mine in the ballroom, they were re-doing the 6th floor at that time and I didn't know weddings could be there!!  I just wanted to post and say their food is AMAZING and we still have guests telling people about the food over a year after the wedding.  Eric was great to work with!!  Congrats to the both of you!!
