Station 67

Hi :) Just looking for some reviews on Station 67 !

Thanks!

Re: Station 67

  • We are getting married next August at Station 67! I'm so excited. So far everyone has been helpful! I love love love the venue!
  • I toured this about a month ago.  I really liked it but I have a family of allergy sufferers.  Three of them had allergic reactions to the dampness of the space.  Also, the area is a little sketch...I was told some brides hire a security guard to stand outside during the reception.

There is a lot of customize-able things you can do..they have a big tv screen, nooks and crannies for cool photo frames/books/props, etc.

I ultimately decided to go with a venue downtown..the food at Station 67 is pricey!  Apparently it's organic and/or local which is nice.

My dad was a Columbus firefighter for 40 years and still belongs to this Union Hall. We had his retirement dinner there in March of this year and it was amazing! I got to help decorate and choose the layout of the tables. The guys there will set up the area exactly how you want, theres unlimited amount of tables and chairs to use, rectangular and round. I even called to see if they would possibly let me in a little earlier than scheduled because I had to get all of my tablecloths I had rented put out and to set up the decorations and buffet table. They were extremely nice and had no problem letting me in 3 hours before the dinner even started because they didn't have any other events going on that day. I also used their audio equipment (which they set up for me prior to the event) and I was able to hook up my iPod to it and play my personalized playlist. I also used their projector and hooked up my laptop and had a slideshow running throughout the night (big hit!).

I brought extra desserts and candy for my candy buffet and set them in the kitchen for later to fill if things started getting low. The caterers were so attentive and sweet they put all the extras out as guests were eating and I didn't have to lift a finger!

The venue is very historic, but not in any way run down. I personally think the brick building makes for some beautiful pictures.

I have gone to two other weddings at this venue and can say that I have never heard a complaint about this place. If I hadn't already been to three other events here in the past year I would've reserved this place in a heart beat!

    Hope this helps <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />
  • I toured there. It was my favorite space of the many toured, but I had a very hard time getting a reply from them. The lady we met with is in no way affiliated with event planning, and was unable to answer any questions. We went with another venue.
