Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

flowers

I just got a quote back from our florist and the total is a little under 1000. Our quote included all of the bouquets, bouts, corsages, 2 alter arrangements, and centerpieces. Bride bouquet was about 110 and BMs about 65. What do you think...pretty average? I just can't believe how expensive flowers are...

sounds good and even low to me. how many of each thing are you getting, and what type of flower, and does that include any rental vases you might need or are you/your florist providing all of those?

It definitely depends on the type of flowers you are using, how many centerpeices and BM's you have, etc.We are looking to spend around $600 and will have 1 bridal bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, about 10 bouts, 3 corsages, 10 flowered centerpeices (other 10 with be non floral) and no altar arrangements. Are flowers are hydreangea, peonies, rananculus, and anemones.

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. How many table arrangements, bridesmaids, bouts, etc? Ours was about $300 more than your quote, so it sounds about right. :)

Yes, that sounds about average to me.  My flowers were about $200 more than that but I used hydrangeas and cala lillies.

I used Sadie's Floral (did an awesome job see bio) and my bouqet for roses and daffodils was $80, the bridesmaids were $45 (dozen roses), boutennieres were $10, corsages were $25, my centerpieces ranged from $35-$100 (I had three different centerpieces). I would highly recommend her. She is super nice, fun, and responsiveness. Plus she had such cool ideas and she does flowers for the W hotel.

That includes my bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, 12 bouts, 8 corsages, 1 flower girl, 2 alter arrangements, 10 bouquet centerpieces, and 10 floating flower centerpieces. We are providing the vases and candles and all that. The flowers in our bouquets are roses, stock, and orchids.

Update! I had my florist make a few minor changes by subbing some less expensive flowers such as gladiolus blooms instead of orchids in our bouquets and changing the alter arrangements a little. It dropped our total quote to 850 instead of 1000! YAY! Those orchids sure aren't cheap.
