Platinum Wedding Bands

Does anyone know of a jeweler with a decent selection of platinum wedding bands? I looked at one family owned jewelry store and wasn't impressed with their selection. I know some of the chains carry platinum bands, but I'd prefer to buy from a private jeweler.

Did you try Continental Diamond in St Louis park?  I love that store.  I especially love the fresh cookies that they always have too. :)

They look great! Bonus is that my FI just moved to St. Louis Park!

Have you looked at Wedding Day Diamonds? They do have several stores in Minnesota but they are family owned and all of the family lives localely. I love that store, the customer service is great and their selection (platinum) is huge and higher quality.

Try RF Moeller. They have 3 locations...Highland Park, Downtown Minneapolis and Edina. I know they have a nice selection in store and also have many more that you can order. My was from the Precision Set collection.

I'd go to Edina Diamond.  It is right across the street from Southdale and its privately owned and operated.

Shane Co. carries a good selection of platinum and if you find something you really like in white gold, they can usually get just about anything that they carry in WG in platinum through a special order.  While it's technically a chain, there are only like 20 some stores in the country, so the shopping experience is not at all like a mall store or a typical chain.  Both their customer and jeweler service is fantastic.

I'm glad you asked this - I've been looking for a platinum band too and didn't know where to start!

If you're looking for an awesome family-run, private jeweler, check out Knox Jewelers in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood of Mpls. My platinum engagement ring is from there and both FI and I will be getting platinum wedding bands from them as well. I'm can't remember how wide their selection of platinum was on the floor (we haven't looked at bands yet), but they will make any of their WG rings in platinum for you.I can't say enough good things about them!

My ring came from Thomas Joseph & Sons in downtown Minneapolis.  It is a small family business.  I really liked them.  Additionally, they do a lot of custom work so if you don't see something you like there they can make you anything you want.

Thanks so much for all of the great suggestions. I'm not from the metro area and was really disappointed with what I found locally. I was planning on looking in the twin cities next but had no idea where to go! I've already found a few on their websites that look just like what I want!
