I was married on September 2, 2012 in Columbus, OH. Call it luck but I honestly did not have one bad experience with any vendors. I highly recommend all of my vendors with A+ so I won't leave a rating next to their names. See below descriptions:
Wendy's Bridal: After dress shopping with family I decided I needed to go by myself so I could get a gauge on what I really liked without any outside opinions. Lilah was my consultant. I probably came into the store 3 times and tried on the same dress before buying it. She never pressured me or made me feel like less of a client when I decided not to buy at that time. I waited until they had a sale. The dress came back very fast. I also had my alterations done there and they did a great job.
Anita Kline: Her cakes are delicious and reasonably priced too! She is such a great person. She set our cake up beautifully and we receive so many compliments about the cake. We sliced the top layer and froze them in separate bags. I have unthawed a slice and it still tastes delicious!
The Flowerman: Melissa at the Flowerman was great. She worked with me to get the best deal for my vision. I really enjoyed working with her. Communication was great. I went with the DIY option and she was there to help us and give us great directions. My girls and I had a great time putting the flowers together.
Melissa Roshan: Melissa was my makeup artist. She is such a sweetheart and has such a positive and sweet spirit. She makes you feel like a beauty queen. She let me do another trial when I thought the first one didn't suit me too well. She nailed it on the wedding day! All of my girls loved their make up even the ones who wear little to no makeup on a daily basis.
American Commodore: AC at Polaris was awesome. They allow you to order in multiple combinations of tuxedos and try them on so you can find what you like best. We switched our order and colors around so much but they were understanding and had all of the orders perfect. We used the referral program with other brides and was able to get 10% off for each name we used. We had a 50% off discount. Talk with other brides and use each others names so you can benefit too!
Azar Photography: Azar is the best! Such a kind man who is great at his profession. We were wow'd from our first appointment with him. Our wedding pictures came out beautiful. I have out of town friends in Toledo and Cleveland who want to book him! Everyone has been impressed with our pictures.
Snapshot Photobooth: I booked this vendor with a groupon. I was a little worried but they were great! The photobooth was a hit and I got it at such a great deal. Even without the groupon their rates are affordable. Our guests loved it and we received a scrapbook as well as all of the pictures on a flash drive. Great idea!
Secrets St. James Montego Bay, Jamaica: All inclusive is the way to go! We had a blast at this resort! St. James and Wild Orchid are basically connected so if you're torn between the two just go with whichever has the cheapest price. The staff was great we were treated like royalty.
The Blackwell: I could talk all day about how great The Blackwell was. I worked with Blair until she received a new position with a new company and then her assistant Rachel took over. They make you feel like you are the only clients in the world. They sent us Christmas cards, Valentine's Day cards, they had a reception night for all of their clients and we received gifts. Their communication was outstanding! No matter how many times I changed my mind they never made me feel like a bother. Colored linens and napkins, votives, mirrors, all of that was included for free. The food was amazing! My friends and family still can't believe how good it was because everyone expects reception food to be just ok. The ambiance of the hotel and ballroom itself is just beautiful. We received the Presidential Suite free of charge on our wedding night. I won't ruin it for any future bookers but they send surprises up to your room! The overall price for The Blackwell is so great when you think of all you get. We couldn't have picked a better venue!
