Office Sickness...

So 3 people on my floor at work are out today with the swine flu.... As soon as we heard a bunch of us went to Target and bought orange juice, airborne, green tea, and hand sanitizer....Yikes!!

We've had about 75 kids out this week, per day.  Of that 75 about 45 of them have had "flu-like" symptoms.  One of the perks of being a teacher.  Hell, I teach BAND so all those germs are being blown in my direction..LOL.  I actually have a cold so I will be taking tomorrow off...

We haven't been hit too hard yet, but the air in City Center only circulates from the outside once per day, so the way I figure - we're all screwed at some point...

Oh my goodness - I definitely think teachers get it the worst during flu time. Hopefully you already have an immunity built up or something! I have a feeling my whole team is going to end up with it before the end of the season though...

Just remember to wash your hands... a lot!! I work at a medical clinic and am doing my student teaching right now. I am getting hit in all directions and have managed to stay healthy. I have had students that have been gone for 2 weeks already!

Yea it is spreading through my office too - I just got it on monday night so I have been working from home today and yesterday. The thing about H1N1 is that it spreads fast and can kill small children, so it is better for me to stay at home even though it did not hit me that hard. I would guess most of us are not in the risk population so for us to get it is more of a hassle, but we should work on not spreading it to others.

No one that I know of at the office has swine fle but people are out sick or coughing a lot.  People are freaking out about it and spraying a disinfectantll all over the place, so much that it caused me to have an asthma yesterday.  This is getting crazy!

Wow, this is so crazy!! There are sooo many people out at my work as well. 2 people in my department for H1N1. My work is bringing large bottles of Purell to everyones desk to make sure everyone disinfects. It really is crazy. But the way I see it, better safe then sorry!

My FI started out with the flu 3 weeks ago, after a week and a day or two of his 100 degree temp breaking he thought he was past it, went back to work only to return home half way through the day worse than before, a week and a half into it. I took him to urgent care since he was now running 102 and couldn't keep ANYTHING down. Ended up in the ER for fluids and antibiotics because it was now pnuemonia. He was out for another week of work. :(I can't believe I didn't get sick through it all, all of my time taking care of him and sleeping next to him.I hope everyone who isn't sick stays that way and for those that are, make sure you seek attention if your symptoms suddenly worsen.

I'm a FT student, and it amazes me how many people are sick on campus. A month ago I was in a computer lab and a girl next to me hacked a big nasty cough into her hand (not elbow), then continued typing. On a University-owned keyboard. No Purell, no trip to the lavatory... Gross. No wonder people get sick! I'm actually looking forward to the cold-cold weather, because it gives me an excuse to wear gloves and mittens, keeping germs off my hands!

I live in the college dorms, and it is spreading like crazy here. My lab partner came down with it yesterday. Already 400 people in my dorm have it... It's a little scary, especially with how terrible they made it seem....
