Throwing a couples shower...help

I am moh in one of my bridesmaids wedding this winter. She doesn't want a shower but I think she needs something so she agreed to a couples shower. Now what have I got myself into?? I dont know what to do?? I was thinking a game and entertainment theme, since they dont drink alot that is the only other thing I can think of other than stock the bar. Any suggestions????

I'm not sure about a "theme" for the actual party, but how about a "date night" theme for gifts etc.Guests could bring things like gift cards for different dinner places, movie tickets, play/theater tickets, movies/popcorn for date night at home or even picnic baskets with all the fillings for a picnic.IDK, sounds fun to me......maybe your friend would like it?

I have been to a couples shower before. One game they did was a newlywed type game, I can't remember the details of how it all worked, but it was fun.

If it's a couples shower, you might decide just to treat it as a party celebrating the couple versus a "shower" in the traditional sense. I've been invited to a couples' luau and a Jamaican jerk party - both were based on their HM destinations. Could you come up with something like that? Another "theme" could be Vegas - casino games, "Queen of Hearts" play on words, not sure what to do about food (other than a "Vegas Buffet," whatever you'd take that to mean!).
