Running of the Brides 5/20

Anyone else going??? I am and I'm excited! Not so much with hopes of finding my dream dress, but more for the experience. This will also be my first time trying on wedding dresses (well since high school cotillion). This week I will be working on making shirts for myself, my mom, and my BFF. I will not be going, I have my dress already. But....GOOD LUCK!!! I hope you have a great time, and it would be even better if you found the one at a great price!

Good luck! Just as a note, you may want to look at pictures and have at least an idea of what you're interested in. It might help when the mad dash starts. That being said, my sister handed me a dress and wanted me to try it on as a joke because it wasn't anything like what I was looking for... guess which dress I fell in love with? Anyway, good luck!

Yes I'm going! with my mom, sister & a bridesmaid.  I'm not depending on this to find my dress.  I know it will be kind of a crap shoot.  But it will be fun or interesting at least!  I am excited!!

This is what I have heard about it and I know my facts might now be straight but it could be. I have heard that you should wait until the afternoon late evening to go looking for a dress there is not as much maddness going on and there are less people to deal with and you can look at the dress and decide if you like it.

Thanks for the well wishes! We do plan to go a little later in the day morning/early afternoon to avoid the madness in the beginning.

It was an experience! The thrill of running in and grabbing dresses was awesome. It was also fun to see a bunch of other brides trying on dresses and seeing how beautiful it looked. I didn't find anything but my mom and BFF promised to do it again next year or with anyone of our friends/family who is getting married.
