Cold, looking for warmth.

Getting married in January, pretty cold of course, and I'm trying to find an ivory cape/cloak to wear over my dress, and some shawls or jackets for my girls.. any suggestions on where to get anything, online or instore?? Or does anyone have something I can buy from them?!?!?

I am sure someone could get you to a vendor but most of the girls seem to use Esty to buy stuff. I don't have any vendors I could recommend for that but you can find people to custom make stuff for you for very good prices I think. http://www.etsy.com/

There is a whole wedding section and you can search for cape and find tons of cute options. Then you can contact the sellers if you want to make any changes. I think most of them will modify them at your request.

    Have you looked on etsy?

There were two Knotties of old that had gorgeous winter weddngs and one wore a cape and the other a wrap: mrsluebke and mrs.songbird.  They might be over on the nest now.

I saw a bunch at David's Bridal but I'm guessing they are pretty standard designs...might be good to look at from a price perspective though.

Let me know if you want me to email you pictures of my shawls.  My mom made them for me (white) and my bridesmaids & flower girls (black).  She has talked about making them for others.  I don't remember the exact cost, but she was able to do them for a fraction of the price than I could find in stores or etsy.  Also she could make them exactly how I wanted!  I can also just get you pictures if you want to use them to have someone make them for you.

Email me at lrbrouwer at yahoo dot com.
