Help! Day of Logistics!

We're having some problems working out the day of logistics. We're getting married at the Saint Paul Hotel and are having our ceremony and reception there. I was planning to get ready in the room that we have for the night of the wedding the afternoon of the wedding. I'm getting my hair and makeup done at the salon and was planning to get dressed ect at the hotel.

The problem was the hotel says they can't give us our room until 4:00pm as that is there guaranteed check in time. We were planning to have our photographer start at 3:30pm. The Hotel has offered that we can have the room the night before.

We were already going to rent a room for FI so he has a place to stay the night before the wedding and a place to get ready day of. Now if we rent the room for the night before he has no where to get ready.

I asked FI if he could get ready in his dad's room and he said that wouldn't work. Also all the groomsmen have girlfriends so they can't use one of their rooms. Ideas on how to work this out?

What time would you be getting to the hotel from the salon? I would speak w/a manager or whoever you've been working with at the hotel to see if they can guarantee the room at that time. If they look into it and say that they absolutely can't promise you the room by that time, I would think that it would be worth just renting the room for two nights. That way, you can take time the day before to make sure all your stuff is in the room and you'll feel less rushed the day-of.

Talk to your reception coordinator. We had our reception at the St. Paul Hotel and arranged for early check in for one room to have the guys get ready in.  The reception coordinator staff are FANTASTIC and can pull the strings you need.

I don't know who is assigned to you but we had Mary Jo and she was great!
