Mini pies instead of wedding cake

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had mini pies instead of a wedding cake. I saw this picture and got inspired. If so, do you know of any good pie makers out there? I was just wondering if the normal cake makers (Anita Kline..etc) would be able to make it

I think thats a super cute idea! You might just have to call around to see who would be able to do it since its not a typical wedding dessert.

Very cute! Any pastry chef should be able to do this for you.

I've seen this and it's totally cute!  We are doing a dessert buffet, so having a few of these is on my list.  However, to save money, we're asking all the bakers in my family to pitch in and bake our favorite goodies (Aunts, sisters, grandmothers, etc)..it's way too expensive for us to go to a bakery for what we want. If you have any good bakers that are family/friends, I'd reach out to them!

I wanted to do a pie bar! Some girls said it was a great idea, others said no... go with whatever you like! :)

  • You should check out www.tinypies.com
They're based out of Austin, TX but can ship anywhere in the country for weddings :)
I just found out about them today while browsing Pinterest and I'm 99% sure we'll be using them for our September 2013 wedding which will be in Milford, Ohio.

    :)

    I hope this helps!
