STD question!!!!!!

Hello brides ...
I have a question...Just out of curiosity : When you sent out the STDs  did you expect people to call , text or just let you know that they received it ? We sent out our STD's 2 weeks ago ( our wedding is August 6th ) some of them , already knew about it some did not ...But We only got like 2 people texting us about the STD they received...I just thought the courtesy , will be to let someone ( that sent you something ) know that you received it etc...

nope....the only messages I got were from people who knew they should get one, but didn't.  Post cards tend to "get lost" or take more time from my experience.  Also received comments/compliments on the card in general from some, but wasn't expecting anything.

When I receive STDs from friends, I view them as a nice heads up to get the date on the calendar.  I honestly never thought to send any response to them.  To me that is what the invitation and official RSVP are for.   I wouldn't worry about not hearing from people.  I'm not expecting a response from the STDs when I send them out.

I got a thank you card from one of FMIL friends who is very proper. We did however get a couple facebook posts from friends saying they loved/liked our STD and some family telling us the same thing.

Other than that I got a couple kicked back in the mail and FI uncle that said everyone else got theirs where was his. LoL his mail was just slower then the rest.

Personally I think no news is good news :)

Yea, I guess I wouldnt really expect any sort of response from a STD.  If you want feedback though, it wouldn't hurt to call up some people you were close to and make sure they got it and such.
