RSVP card food option (veg/kids) with buffet... wording?

So... we're having a buffet at our reception with chicken as the main entree, but will be providing separately plated children's meals and vegetarian meals.  Any recommendations as to how to word this on our RSVP card as well as a good way to determine the count on the card?  We're providing this count to our caterer.

TIA!!

If it's a buffet, don't worry about mentioning food.

If you want, you can have a small line that says "please list any dietary restrictions" or something.  Your friends/family that are vegetarians will probably let you know anyway, but it's a nice gesture to ask for accommodations as needed.

Maybe you could say something like, "Please let us know if you require a children's or vegetarian entree." And then they can just write it in or call you.

As far as head count, maybe put an empty line with the words "number attending" next to it?

I agree with PP's.   Something like others have suggested or maybe like "vegetarian and kids meals available upon request"  or "please indicate if you need a vegetarian or kids meal"  or something to that effect?

I agree with PPs.  If it's buffet and they don't need to make their meal selections ahead of time, don't mention it.  Our venue did ask us to put in a line asking about dietary restrictions.  We are going to be getting a number of plated kids meals and a couple vegetarian meals.  Our venue is asking us to provide the name and table number of the recipient so they can get it to the right person.
