Aisle decoration help needed!

Our ceremony will be in a hotel ballroom, so it's a little bland. I'm not really picky about decorations, but I would like something along the aisle. We got the basic aisle runner from Michael's, but I'm trying to think of what else we could do. The chairs are kind of shaped like this...

... so I can't just hang something off the side since there isn't really a corner. I thought about tying some tulle bows in the corner by the seat part, but FI didn't really like that idea.

FYI, where we'll stand we'll have two cocktail tables w/sleek black slipcover things with these lanterns from Ikea...

and inside we'll have a pillar candle and red silk flowers. TIA!

Dang no Posts! The only thing I can think of is doing something on the ground or something that has a stand. My Aunt used Sherpard Hooks holding a Huricane vase with tulle tied around it. The Sherpard hooks may or may not be expensive I don't know. Perhaps look at rental place as buying them would be spendy.

Other wise, I think it would be fine to tie whatever you with on the back

Thanks for not leaving me hanging, Shan! I was actually browsing through the "For Sale" sticky, and saw that someone was selling a bunch of the little silver versions of our lanterns, so I think we're going to put those along the aisle runner with LED tea lights inside. Most of the freestanding shepherds hooks I found were pretty spendy...

I have to talk to our venue person to see what time we'll be able to start decorating the ceremony, but if we have time, tying something to the backs of the chairs would be nice.

I love the idea of having the lanterns light the way! I love lighted paths! :)
