Venues in northern mn?

We live in Cloquet, mn and we are on a budget, and I can't seem to find any venues up here can anyone help? We're up for any type of venue, indoor, outdoor, etc.. Just someplace not to far from the Duluth-superior to Moose Lake range. Anything could help. Thanks!

I think there are some suggestions on the MN board.

What about the AmericInn (sp?) in Clouquet? Giants Ridge is pretty cool, but that's a little further away than what you're looking for.

I live in Duluth. The most affordable thing is to do ceremony and reception in the same location. Have you checked into the Blackwoods Banquet Center or the community center in Proctor? You could also consider one of the State Parks: Jay Cooke, Gooseberry, etc. Here are some other options: The Depot, Barker's Island, Greysolon, Great Lakes Aquarium, Lake Superior Zoo, Lakeview Castle, Glensheen, Fairlawn Mansion, Clyde Iron Works, Sacred Heart Music Center. I'm not sure on all of their pricing, but these are places we considered.

These can get quite pricey, but I'm not sure how many people you plan to invite or what your budget it: DECC, Spirit Mountain, Northland Country Club.

I hope that helps. PM me if you have any questions.

Grand superior lodge in two harbors was pretty nice!! They have an outdoor ceremony site on lake superior and then a pretty big ballroom.

There are a lot of hotels/inns along the duluth shore that do really pretty weddings. Bluefin bay in particular is very pretty.

  • If you haven't found anything yet, I would look at Juliane James Place. It's in Finlayson, MN (my hometown!) and is outdoor, brand-new last year, and one of the owners is an event planner. I loved it, but the FI said no due to the idea of having to rent porta-potties- even if they were 'fancy'!
