Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Yay! Checks, and more checks!

So with the FI working all weekend, my mom and I got a chance to get down to business. Mom made my veil, ordered monogram napkins (on sale on TK Shop), cake topper, and headpiece. Also started a checklist for our registries, met with another florist (1 to go!), got ribbon on the bubbles, and got a couple runners/overlays made for the dinner tables. I finally feel like I'm getting some stuff done! Bring it on page and half long checklist!

Congrats! Do you have any pics? I would love to see how your veil turned out!

I want to see the veil too!  How much work was it? I'm still debating if this will be a DIY?

I took pics, but forgot my camera at home to upload them :( So check back tomorrow!

Steph-It was so slick! Granted my mom officially made it, but I assisted and helped with cutting the shape and whatnot. I just wanted a very fine edge on the bottom which she was able to do with a sewing machine. The tulle itself she got for $2/yd or so and I think she got 4 yds just to be safe. I'll ask her how much she actually used. The wire comb to put it on was $4 at Crafts Direct, but it's 4 1/4" wide, which is too big for my head so now I'm searching for a smaller wire comb to attach it to.

You might be able to clip the wire comb to the length you need - would that work?

LS-I thought of that, but wouldn't it leave a jagged edge? I was going to have my dad do that as my last option.
