Hey Jenn just noticed you asked how I made the white flower. Here ya go, let me know if that's clear. Most of the time stuff will make sense in my head but I'm not sure if it makes sense to everyone else.

Ok so for the white sash flower I bought white satin, tulle, and chantilly lace. I also bought organza but it ended up being a huge PITA so I didn't use it. Don't buy too much, I'd recommend 1/8-1/4 yard of each.
I traced a few circle shapes (CD, bottom of a glass, etc) to get a nice circular shape. Then when I cut them out I cut small "grooves" to make them look like petals. You may not even need to trace circles, just cut out rudimentary flower shapes. I pinned the paper templates to the fabric and cut it out into the flower shapes. Don't worry if it's not perfect, when you burn the edges it doesn't matter.
To burn just light a small candle and hold the satin above the flame, just don't let the flame touch it. If it's close enough the fabric will start to curl inward. Be careful for your fingers, I nearly burnt mine lol. I ended up not using organza because its burns SO quickly and I kept ruining the flowers I'd cut out. I didn't burn the tulle or the lace. I layered everything until I liked how it looked. I also threw in a couple feathers (and I still have A TON left over). My mom took over here and hand sewed the layers together and then onto a circular piece of white felt. She also sewed the pearl beads to the middle at this time. It really didn't take long at all and was actually kind of fun! I bought some wide ribbon and my mom is going to sew the edges of the felt to the ribbon to make a belt.
Sorry this got so long!! If something wasn't clear feel free to ask more questions! HTH!
