Cake topper help driving me nuts

So I can't find a nice cake topper for my cake.  I feel like I have looked every where online.  I would like to go to a store and look at some but I have no clue where to go.  I want something under $20.  I feel like i shouldn't have pay more for that when I will only use it one.  What does your cake topper look like and where did you get?  TIA

I used fresh flowers on my cake, no topper at all.  And then one of my friends took them home at the end of the night and had a pretty bouquet for over a week.

Have you checked here at all? http://www.weddingstar.com/wedding-cake-toppers/all.  They're a little more than $20 (most look around $30-$40), but they have some really creative ones!

Including mixed race couples, which was not easy to find.

are you set on having a cake topper? i couldn't find one i liked either, so I ended up ordering monogram letters to go beside our cake. i purchased them from this etsy seller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/spellitout

i think each letter is around $10. i paid around $40 for three letters with a print on them.

What type of topper are you looking for?  Bride & groom, floral, figurines, monogram, etc? 

Have you checked at Lynn's Cake & Candy Supplies up in Fridley off of University?  She's got a ton of selection there.  Otherwise it's all dependent upon what you're wanting to have.  The other thing is, nothing says you absolutely HAVE to have a topper.  There are some beautiful cakes out there that don't have them and still look "finished". 

If all else fails, talk to your baker because they'll likely have some sources for you to check.
